Hyde Chapel Revealed

As I related in my post of 17th January 2009 close views of Hyde Chapel are extremely difficult to achieve as in summer the trees shield it and in winter the sun is low.

However, the leaves haven't begun to appear just yet, so a few weeks ago I managed to secure this image from the corner of School Lane and Stockport Road.

Cool! So different from the other post!
Now, there is a kind of mystery in all atmosphere there...maybe about the graveyard or because the green in all, but very beautiful !

In Norway a chapel is usually a small church. This one is huge!

Very nice in B & W.

Looks very old.

Spring is there only celestially, the earth in that corner still has some warming up to do (and leaf growing)!

That's the longest steeple I think I have ever seen.

What a difference, these two shots. This one seems so echoic of a past. I love it!

That's a really lovely image. The B&W just adds to it. Beautiful.

That looks really nice. Good idea to show it in B&W, effective.

Now, I understand what you mean with these leaves.
The bare tress and the chapel are perfect in B&W. It gives an atmosphere of mystery, and I guess that color version at this time of year, would gives more a "sadness" feeling.
Thanks to show us at that particular moment.

This has to be haunted. Well the image is haunting in a gothic nightmare way. There must be a White lady lurking there somewhere.

Well done! Did you see Tom's view from afar?
